Live Oak County — Haskel Rouse Dies in a Motorcycle Accident on Interstate 37

The Texas Department of Public Safety officials have released the name of the victim who died in a vehicle collision on Interstate 37, north of Mathis.
The fatality was identified as 49-year-old Haskel Wayne Rouse of Mathis, Texas.
According to initial reports, a Cub Cadet Truck tractor semi-trailer was heading north near the intersection on the I-37 frontage road when a Harley Davidson motorcycle traveling along the eastbound lanes was not able to control its speed and struck its behind. The impact of the collision killed the rider, identified as Haskel Rouse, was pronounced dead by emergency crews.
Fortunately, the driver of the truck was not injured.
Local authorities arrived at the scene to gather more details surrounding the accident.
The crash remains under investigation.
