Lipscomb County – Vehicle Crash on Texas 305 Leaves 1 Dead

At least one person was pronounced deceased after a deadly car accident on State Highway 305, Tuesday afternoon.

At around 5:30 p.m., local police received a call reporting an auto collision on SH 305. Initial investigation shows that a vehicle had been traveling along Texas 305 when, for reasons that had not yet been determined, it veered off the roadway. It then struck a number of trees before coming to rest. The driver of the vehicle sustained significant injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene. He was later identified as 81-year-old Alva Howard.

No one else was injured.

Area investigators arrived at the scene to determine the reason that caused Howard to lose control of the car and left the road.
