Lindale: Police officer injured one on Highway 69

Authorities are still investigating a car accident involving a Lindale police officer, early Monday morning.
At around 6:52 a.m., a pedestrian was walking along the southbound lanes of Highway 69 when he was struck by a vehicle heading south. The vehicle was reportedly driven by a 39-year-old police officer, identified as Trent Taylor.
The victim was transported to a local hospital and remains in stable condition. He was identified as 20-year-old Brennon Green. His injuries were not specified.
Lindale officials were requested at the scene to determine the cause of the crash. Preliminary investigation shows that Green was wearing dark-colored clothing while walking south in the inside lane when the incident took place.
No arrests have been made as the investigation is still in progress.
