Leander – Vehicle Collision on Hero Way Leaves 1 Injured, 1 Dead

At least one person was killed in a fatal car collision on Hero Way near Ronald Reagan Boulevard, Thursday afternoon.
At around 12:00 p.m., a 2005 Ford Explorer was traveling along the southbound lanes of Hero Way when it crashed into another vehicle that was trying to cross into said lanes. The impact of the crash instantly killed the driver of the undescribed vehicle. Meanwhile, the Ford driver sufered from injuries that were considered minor. He was given treament at the scene and released.
The victims’ identifications were withheld pending notification of their next of kin.
Leander law enforcement officials were requested to the scene to determine the factors that may have contributed to the collision. Anyone who has information relevant the case is encouraged to get in contact with local authorities.
