Large stone falls on, injures two workers at site in N Houston

HOUSTON, TX – Two workers were hurt in north Houston when a slab of granite fell on top of them early yesterday morning, according to a tweet published by the Harris County Sheriff’s Office.
District 2 deputies responded to an accidental at 14903 Henry RD. workers moving granite slabs had a large piece of stone fall injuring 2 workers. 1 suffered serious injuries and was transported by ground ambulance. 2nd worker suffered non life threatening injuries. pic.twitter.com/IsjWNQfFoI

The accident happened at 14903 Henry Rd, located near Pep Mueller Park and Hollyvale Dr and was reported by authorities at 1:09 a.m.
Two people who were carrying slabs of granite at a worksite were struck by the large chunk of stone, causing injury to both.
One of the workers was taken to the hospital for the treatment of critical injuries, while the other suffered less serious wounds.
Neither of the workers was identified in the report.
There is no word at this time on what caused the stone to fall.
