Laredo – Two-Vehicle Accident on Hwy 59

Laredo police officials are investigating a car crash on Highway 59 that killed a woman last Thursday, March 26th.
At around 5:30 p.m., police received a call reporting a car accident on Hwy 59, west of Las Lomas. A Dodge pickup truck was traveling along the highway when it drifted off the roadway and overturned a number of times. The impact of the crash seriously injured two occupants, the driver and his passenger. They were both taken to a hospital where one of them succumbed to his injuries. Their identities have yet to be released.
Based on the initial investigation, Another vehicle, described as a with Ford Fiesta, was initially attempting to pass the pickup truck. As it attempted to merge lane with the Dodge, its driver lost control, causing the truck to leave the roadway.
The crash remains under investigation.
