Laredo – Police Chase Resulted in Injuries on Highway 83

A vehicle collision on Highway 83 which involves a hit-and-run driver sent one person to the hospital, according to a local news source.
At around 9:00 p.m., Department of Public Safety troopers were chasing after a vehicle that sped away from a collision that took place at an intersection near Highway 83. As police pursue the suspect, the driver lost control of the car which caused the vehicle to left the roadway and landed in a ditch. At least one person sustained injuries as a result of the crash. He was taken to a hospital for treatment. Meanwhile, three occupants in the suspect car were taken into custody for questioning.
No other injuries were reported.
Laredo police have yet to determine liability. The crash remains under investigation at this time.
