Laredo – 1 Killed, 1 Hurt in Auto Collision on Locust St

A solo-vehicle accident turned deadly after a man died on Locust Street in Laredo, Sunday.
According to the initial investigation, a vehicle was seen traveling at the 100 block of Locust St when, for reasons that had not yet been determined, it went out of control and drifted off the road. The vehicle continued on and struck a light pole. The impact of the crash instantly killed its driver who was only identified as a 38-year-old male occupant. His passenger sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was sent to the hospital for treatment. She was only identified as a 34-year-old female passenger.
No one else was injured.
The Laredo Police Department was also requested at the scene to determine the circumstances leading up to the accident.
An investigation is underway.
