Kingsville – Motorcyclist Struck by Car on General Cavazos Boulevard

A student died after getting struck by a vehicle on General Cavazos Boulevard near Walmart, Wednesday.
According to initial reports, the incident took place in the afternoon on General Cavazos. A preliminary investigation shows that a sport utility vehicle was seen travelling along the roadway when it collided with a motorcycle, ejecting its rider in the process. The motorcyclist was rushed to a local hospital where she later succumbed to her injuries. The victim’s identity has not yet been released but it was disclosed that she was a 22-year-old student from Texas A&M University-Kingsville.
No words on the condition of the driver of the SUV. It’s not clear if he will be facing charges.
Kingsville Police Department is investigating the incident. They said that the victim was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.
