Killeen – Rider airlifted to hospital following a crash on Old FM 440

A motorcyclist was involved in an accident with another vehicle on Old Farm to Market Road 440, Saturday.
According to police, the rider was heading west when it collided with a Toyota Camry at the intersection of Old Farm to Market Road 440 and West Stan Schlueter Loop. Initial reports say that the Camry was attempting to make a turn to Stan Schlueter Loop at the time of the incident.
The motorcyclist, whose identity has not yet been disclosed, sustained injuries from the impact. He was taken to Baylor Scott and White Hospital for treatment of his injuries.
The occupants in the Camry were not injured.
Authorities were requested to the scene to determine the cause of the crash. Based on preliminary investigations, one party failed to yield resulting in a collision.
