Johnson County – Boy Ejected from Car Following Crash on FM 3048

A boy died after getting thrown from a car on Farm to Market Road 3048, Sunday evening, a local news source reported.
Police said the deadly incident took place at around 7:30 p.m. on FM 3048 near County road 704A in Johnson County. An red 2008 Chevrolet Cobalt was seen traveling west along the roadway when its driver, for yet unknown reasons, lost control of the vehicle causing the car to roll over a number of times. A child passenger, identified only as a nine-year-old Cleburne boy was ejected from the car as it overturned. He was immediately taken to a nearby Fort Worth hospital where he succumbed to his injuries, the same evening.
The female driver of the car was also injured and was taken to a hospital for treatment. Her condition was not disclosed.
The Johnson County Police Department continues to gather more details about the crash.
