Jacksonville – Two-Vehicle Accident on US 69

At least one person was injured following a car crash on US Highway 69, near Loop 456, according to a local news source.

Police said the incident happened at around 11:00 a.m. along the northbound lanes of the highway. A passenger vehicle was seen traveling on the freeway when it crashed into a big-rig owned by a commercial company. Emergency responders had to extricate the driver of the passenger car out of the wreckage. He was taken to the nearest hospital where he was listed in an unknown condition. His identity has not yet been released.

The driver of the big-rig truck was not hurt.

The Jacksonville Police Department was requested at the scene to determine the circumstances leading up to the incident. An investigation is underway.
