Infant died in hit-and-run collision

HOUSTON, TX – A one-year-old has died after a collision in north Houston on Friday, April 18, according to KTRK. One driver fled the scene.
The crash took place at the 4700 block of Aldine Mail Route by the Eastex Freeway at approximately 11 p.m.
The Harris County Sheriff’s Office reports that a Toyota Tacoma was traveling eastbound when it overcorrected, causing it to crash head-on into a Nissan Altima, in which the one-year-old victim was a passenger.
The driver of the of the Altima was identified as Sergio Milla Iglesias. Iglesias fled the scene but was later located and taken into custody.
Harris County Sheriff Ed Gonzalez reported that Iglesias showed signs of impairment.
The infant was in the front seat of the vehicle and restrained by an adult shoulder and lap belt.
