Hutchins – 1 Hospitalized in Interstate 20 Crash

At least one person was hospitalized following a semi-truck crash on Interstate 20 in Hutchins, according to Texas Department of Public Safety.
Just after 4:00 a.m., police responded to I-20 near Texas 310 after they received a call reporting a crash. Police said a tractor-trailer semi-truck was traveling along the highway when it suddenly went out of control and left the roadway. As a result, the driver, whose name has yet to be released, sustained non-life-threatening injuries. He was given medical assistance by emergency crews who responded to the scene.
Based on the initial investigation, the driver of the truck might have fallen asleep behind the wheel. He was reportedly hauling toilet paper.
No one else was injured.
The crash is still under investigation.
