Hurst – Woman Injured in SH 10 Crash ID’d

The Hurst Police Department has released the name of the woman who was sent to the hospital following a suspected DUI crash on State Highway 10 near Harmon Road last January 22nd.
At around 6:40 p.m., police received a call reporting a collision between two vehicles. Initial investigation shows that a vehicle was seen traveling along SH 10 when it crashed into another car upon entering an intersection. After the crash, the first vehicle left the scene without rendering aid to the victim. Meanwhile, the driver of the second car was rushed to the hospital for treatment. She was later identified as 22-year-old Merna Wageh Roman. Her condition was not immediately released.
The first driver, who has yet to be identified, was later arrested on DUI charge.
No one else was injured.
An investigation is underway.
