HPD searching for suspect in early August hit-and-run crash

HOUSTON, TX – The Houston Police Department is searching for the suspect in an early August hit-and-run crash that took place on Vance Street.

Authorities say an 83-year-old woman was standing in the road at 2300 Vance Street after knocking on the door of a nearby home. Witnesses say the woman was hit by a vehicle a few moments later. The car did not stop at the scene and instead fled. The incident was reported on August 7.

The woman was rushed to the hospital with a broken leg and wrist. The vehicle is described as a silver or white Ford F-150. If you have any information about the accident, contact the HPD Hit-and-Run Unit at 713-247-4072.
