HPD responds to hit-and-run collision on US-59 SB near SW Houston

HOUSTON, TX — A hit-and-run crash was reported Tuesday morning on U.S. Highway 59 near a shopping center in southwest Houston, according to City of Houston.
Houston police responded to the scene in the 1450 block of the highway (Southwest Freeway/Interstate 69), near West Bellfort Avenue, shortly before 8:00 a.m.
Few details have been provided, but authorities indicated an “FSRA” incident in which one party failed to stop and render aid to another party after a major accident resulting in likely injuries or death.
At this time, authorities have not disclosed information regarding the condition of any injured parties or the circumstances behind the event.
