HPD investigating fatal hit-and-run on Almeda Road

HOUSTON, TX – Officers at the Houston Police Department are investigating a fatal hit-and-run that took place on Almeda Road on the morning of May 8.
The victim, a 27-year-old man, was walking near 13600 Almeda Road when he was hit by a vehicle of unknown make and model. The vehicle fled the scene of the crash.
The pedestrian was rushed to the hospital where he was declared dead on Saturday, May 15. Authorities say he was not using a crosswalk at the time of the accident.
