HOUSTON, TX — A 68-year-old man was found deceased early Sunday after an apparent pedestrian collision in southeast Houston’s Greater Eastwood neighborhood, reports Houston Police Department.

Authorities said the incident occurred in the 800 block of Telephone Road at around 1:35 a.m.

According to HPD Vehicular Crimes Division, the victim’s body was discovered with minimal trauma, and as of this writing, it is unconfirmed whether or not he was hit by a vehicle.

Investigators later learned the victim had been discharged from a hospital a day prior and now have reason to believe a medical episode may have factored into his death.

Autopsy results by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences were pending.
