Houston – Worker Struck by Car on Galveston Road

A fatal pedestrian accident caused the death of a utility worker on Galveston Road, early Tuesday morning.
According to initial reports, Houston police officers responded to a collision after receiving a call just before 11:00 a.m. Based on a preliminary investigation, the crash took place near the intersection of Galveston Road and Clear Lake City Boulevard when a utility worker was hit by a vehicle heading south. Police said that the victim was escorting an oversized load at the middle of the road during the time of the incident.
The impact of the collision left the pedestrian with serious injuries. He was pronounced dead at the scene by emergency crews.
No charges have been filed as the investigation is still in progress.
