Houston- Woman Struck and Injured by Car on Katy Freeway

A woman was sent to a hospital after getting hit by a car on Katy Freeway, according to local news source.

At around 2:00 a.m., police were dispatched to Katy Freeway in response to a call reporting a pedestrian accident. Initial investigation shows that a woman was attempting to cross the highway when a passing vehicle struck her. The pedestrian sustained fatal injuries from the force of the impact. She was rushed to a local hospital but her condition was not released.

The Houston Police Department was requested at the scene to determine liability. The driver of the car remained at the scene and called for assistance.

No further details are available as the investigation is still in progress.
