Houston – Woman Hospitalized Following Hit-and-Run Collision on TX 249

A woman was sent to the hospital after getting involved in a car accident with a driver who fled the scene of the crash on Texas Highway 249.
According to initial reports, the incident took place at on January 8th on TX 249 near West Road. A vehicle was reportedly traveling along the highway when it suddenly crashed into the backside of another car. Police said the second vehicle was waiting for its green light at the intersection when the accident took place.
The driver of the second car was identified as Asia Douglas Long III. She was given treatment by emergency crews who responded to the scene. Meanwhile, the driver of the other car did not stop to render aid to Long. He was later arrested and charged.
An investigation is underway.
