Houston – Woman Crossing West Tidwell Road Struck, Injured

The Houston Police Department is still in pursuit of the driver who struck a female pedestrian on West Tidwell Road, Friday night.
Last Mary 12, local troopers responded to a crash in the 100 block of West Tidwell Road. According to initial reports, a woman was attempting the cross the street when she was hit by a sport utility vehicle. When emergency crews arrived at the scene, the victim was lying on the ground, lifeless. She was pronounced dead at the scene, despite life-saving measures. She’s identified only as a woman in her 40s.
Meanwhile, the driver fled the scene following the incident. Based on the debris gathered at the scene of the crash, the suspect vehicle is believed to be an SUV to be white and manufactured in the mid-2000s.
The crash remains under investigation.
