Houston – Vehicle Collision Injured 10-year-old Boy on Begonia Lane

The Highland Police Department is conducting an investigating about a vehicle crash on Begonia Lane in the Highlands area, a local news source reported.
At around 2:30 p.m., local troopers were dispatched at the 200 block of Begonia Lane to assist in a collision. According to initial reports, two vehicles were traveling down Begonia when a silver sport utility vehicle struck a four-wheeler after running through a red light. Police said that both cars ignored the stop sign.
A 10-year-old boy who was riding the four-wheeler sustained serious injuries as a result of the crash. He was transported to Memorial Hermann Hospital by a medical helicopter.
The driver of the SUV attempted to escape the scene on foot, responding officers said. She is being questioned at this time.
No charges have been filed as the investigation is still in progress.
