Houston – Vehicle Accident on Westheimer Road Leaves 1 Dead

A 27-year-old man was killed following a car accident involving multiple vehicles on Westheimer Road, late Saturday morning.

At around 11:00 a.m., Houston local police responded to 7508 block of Westheimer Rd near South Voss Road to assist in a multi-car accident. A silver Mercedes-Benz GL sedan was traveling along South Voss when it crashed into a red Mercedes-Benz sedan and entered the cross street on red light. The first Mercedes then collided with a black Jeep Cherokee, prompting a chain-reaction which involved four more cars. The male driver of the Jeep, identified only as a man in his late 20s, was rushed to Houston Methodist Hospital for treatment. However, he later succumbed to his injuries.

No one else was injured.

Based on the initial investigation, Houston found out that the driver of the first Mercedes-Benz encountered a medical episode prior to the crash.
