Houston – Sunday Crash on North Freeway Kills 1

A tragic collision caused by a medical emergency resulted in one fatality on North Freeway, Sunday afternoon.
At around 2:00 p.m., Houston police officials responded to a crash at the 11500 block of North Interstate Highway. According to reports, a blue Honda CR-V heading north on the interstate went out of control, crossed several lanes, and struck a tan Toyota Prius that was parked on the right hand should of the road. Based on a preliminary investigation, the driver of the Honda may have suffered a medical issue prior to the crash.
The impact of the collision seriously injured the rear passenger of the Toyota. The victim, identified only as a 1-year-old girl, was rushed to the nearest hospital where she received medical treatment. Unfortunately, she succumbed to her injuries at a later time.
No other injuries were reported at this time.
