Houston – Speeding Crash on Louisiana Street Leaves 1 Hurt

An unidentified driver was hospitalized following a single vehicle accident on Louisiana Street in Houston, Monday evening.

At approximately 11:00 p.m., police received a call reporting a car accident at the 3500 block of Louisiana St. According to initial reports, a pickup truck was speeding when it went out of control, left the roadway, and struck a tree. The impact trapped the driver inside the wreckage, leaving him injured in the process. He was extricated by emergency crews and transported to a hospital for treatment. His condition was not immediately released. Police said the pickup truck was missing a tire as it travels along the roadway.

No one else was hurt.

Houston police arrived at the scene to assist in the clearing. The crash remains under investigation at this time.
