Houston – South Loop accident seriously injures one

A traffic collision left one person injured on the South Loop near Wayside, initial reports say.
According to investigators, the car accident took place near South loop at around 2:45 a.m., Thursday. A pick-up truck was traveling along the freeway when, for yet unknown reasons, it spun out of control. The truck then struck a metal guardrail, injuring the driver in the process.
The driver, whose identity remains unknown, sustained serious injuries. He was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment.
Officials were requested at the scene to assist in the clearing of the site. The investigation is still in progress.
