Houston- Rear-end collision on Eastex Freeway

A truck collision left one person injured on Eastex Freeway, Tuesday morning.

Preliminary investigation shows that the crash took place at around 5:00 a.m. According to reposts, an SUV was traveling along the southbound lanes of the freeway when, for reasons yet to be determined, it rear-ended a tractor-trailer.

The force of impact injured the driver of the SUV. He was rushed to a local hospital with serious injuries. Her identification has not yet been released.

It was not yet determined whether the driver of the truck sustained any injuries. He was also not identified.

Authorities arrived at the scene to further investigate the cause of crash.
