Houston – Pedestrian Crash on Westheimer Rd Leaves 1 Dead

Last Sunday, a fatal auto collision on Westheimer Road left one person deceased, according to a local news source.

At around 9:00 p.m., police received a call reporting a crash in the 12100 block of Westheimer Rd near West Houston Center. A woman was seen crossing Westheimer when a Mazda CX-5 heading west struck her. She sustained significant injuries and was immediately taken to the hospital by emergency crews. Unfortunately, despite life-saving efforts, she succumbed to her injuries. Her identification was withheld pending notification of her immediate family relatives.

The driver initially called 911 to ask for assistance but when he saw authorities were approaching, he sped off and left the scene.

No charges have been made as the investigation is still in progress.
