Houston—Pedestrian Crash on North Freeway Kills One

A woman died after getting struck by a vehicle on North Freeway near Little York, Thursday.
According to initial reports, the tragic accident took place at around 10:10 p.m. Police said that a woman was seen running across lanes of Interstate 45 when she was struck by a black Chevrolet Tahoe. The impact of the collision killed the pedestrian instantly. She was only identified as 55-year-old woman by Houston police.
The driver of the SUV stayed at the scene and cooperating with local officers. He did not appear to be impaired or intoxication.
