Houston – Pedestrian Collision on Gulf Freeway

A Sunday night accident involving a pedestrian and a vehicle caused the death of one person on Gulf Freeway, according to a local news source.
In an unspecified time last Sunday, local troopers responded to the scene of a crash on Interstate 45, also known as Gulf Freeway, near Telephone Road. Based on a preliminary investigation, a man was attempting to cross the freeway when he was struck by a passing vehicle. The impact of the collision killed the pedestrian instantly. He was pronounced dead by emergency crews who responded to the scene.
The driver of the vehicle was not hurt. It was not confirmed if he stayed at the scene and/or is cooperating with local authorities.
No charges have been filed as the investigation is still in progress.
