Houston – Pedestrian Accident on Woodfair Drive Leaves Man Injured

A vehicle accident involving a robbery left one person with serious leg injuries, a local news source said.
Houston law enforcement officials said the bizarre incident took place at the 9500 block of Woodfair Drive, Monday. According to the report, a man and his wife was at a gas station when an unidentified man tried to steal the vehicle with his wife still in the passenger seat. The husband tried to avoid the suspect from driving off but he was then thrown off from the hood and got pinned between his vehicle and a minivan.
The husband, who was identified as 47-year-old Orlando Ballester-Perez, sustained serious leg injuries as a result of the crash. Officers applied tourniquets to the husband’s legs until the paramedics arrived and transported him to the hospital. It was not confirmed if his wife was harmed.
The investigation continues.
