Houston – Officer Collided with Car on Tuam Street

A police officer chasing a suspect got into a car accident on Tuam Street in Houston, Saturday evening.
At around 10:00 p.m., local officers received a notification reporting a vehicle accident involving a patrol car. According to the report, an officer was chasing a suspect who stole an ATM near the intersection of Tuam And Live Oak Street when it collided with another vehicle.
The force of the impact left the officer with wrist and leg injuries. He was immediately taken to the nearest medical facility for treatment. His identification and condition were not disclosed by authorities. The other driver was not hurt.
No charges have been made as the investigation is still in progress.
