Houston – Man Struck by an SUV on North Freeway

Man struck by a vehicle on North Freeway passed away, according to a local news source.

Houston local troopers responded to North Freeway near West Road after receiving after being notifiad about a collision along the northbound lanes. According to the report, an undescribed vehicle was stopped in the middle of the freeway for reasons that had not been determined. Its driver stepped out of his vehicle, probably to check on the issue, only to be struck by a passing SUV. The said SUV then struck the stalled car which caught fire.

The man was pronounced deceased by emergency crews. An occupant in the same vehicle was able to escape from the wreckage but suffered burns. No identifications have been released.

The driver of the SUV, including a baby, did not sustain injuries.

Police said that the driver may have encountered car troubles prior to the incident.
