Houston – Man Killed by a Vehicle on Telephone Rd

An auto versus pedestrian collision on Telephone Road caused the death of one person, Friday.
Initial investigation shows that a man was trying to cross the roadway along Telephone Rd, near the Hobby Airport, when he a passing 18-wheeler truck. The pedestrian, whose identity has not been released, sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced deceased by emergency crews who responded to the scene. How the crash actually happened remains unclear at this time.
The driver of the truck was not injured.
Houston law enforcement officials were requested at the scene to assist in the clearing. They are also determining the circumstances leading up to the accident.
An investigation is underway.
