Houston – Man Hurt in Wrong-Way Collision on Southwest Freeway

At least one person was hospitalized following a major accident on Southwest Freeway near Renwick Drive in Houston.

Last March 25th, police received a call reporting a vehicular accident on Southwest Fwy near the Chimney Rock exit. According to initial reports, a Ford pickup truck was heading south in the northbound lanes when it collided with a KIA soul. As a result, the driver of the Kia sustained serious injuries and was rushed to a nearby hospital for further treatment. His condition remains unknown at this time.

Meanwhile, the driver of the wrong-way vehicle was not hurt. He was taken into custody on suspicion of driving while intoxicated.

The crash remains under investigation as of this writing.
