Houston—Man Dies while Crossing West Sam Houston Parkway

A fatal pedestrian accident took the life of one person on West Sam Houston Parkway in the Jersey Village area, Wednesday morning.
According to initial reports, Harris County police officers responded to a collision at the Sam Houston underpass at around 7:30 a.m. In their initial investigation, a man was trying to cross the feeder road when he was struck by a vehicle turning onto Philippine Street.
The pedestrian was pronounced dead by emergency crews. His identification remains unknown at this time. Responding officers said that the victim was possibly homeless.
Meanwhile, the female driver was not injured. She remained at the scene and cooperating with investigators.
