Houston – Man Died Following Motorcycle Collision on Interstate 45

A motorcycle accident on Interstate 45 resulted in the death of one person, Friday night, according to a local news source.
At around 9:00 p.m., Houston local troopers responded to I-45 feeder road near Gulf bank following reports of a crash involving a hit-and-run driver. Initial investigation shows that a Suzuki motorcycle was waiting for its green signal when it was struck by an SUV. Police said a Nissan Cube that was also stopped at the intersection was struck by the said SUV. Instead of providing aid to the victim, the SUV driver sped off and escaped the scene. Fortunately, the occupants in the Nissan were not hurt. However, the rider of the motorcycle was injured and was taken to the hospital for treatment. He later succumbed to his injuries.
Authorities have yet to locate the driver of the SUV. An investigation is underway.
