Houston – Juan Amado Hospitalized Following US Highway 59 Crash

A 49-year-old man was sent to the hospital following a two-car crash on US Highway 59, Sunday morning.
Just before 6:00 a.m., police responded to a rear-end crash on US 59. A vehicle was traveling along the highway when it crashed into the rear side of the car that was stopped in traffic. The driver of the first car was immediately taken to a nearby hospital where he was listed in an unknown condition. He was later identified as 49-year-old Juan Macario Amado.
Houston police officers were also requested at the scene to assist in the clearing. Based on their initial investigation, the driver of the stopped vehicle may have been drinking prior to the collision.
The crash remains under investigation.
