Houston – Hit-and-run Driver Killed Bicyclist on North Freeway

The Houston Police Department is still searching for the driver who struck and killed a bicycle rider on North Freeway last Thursday morning.
At around 5:30 a.m., a bicycle accident was reported on the North Freeway near Airtex Drive in Houston. According to the report, a bicyclist was exiting the said highway when a passing vehicle struck him. The impact of the collision left the rider with life-threatening injuries. He was pronounced dead by emergency crews who arrived at the scene.
The driver of the suspect vehicle, whose identity has not been released, fled the scene without rendering aid to the victim. Authorities have yet to arrest the suspect and locate his vehicle.
Details surrounding the collision are very limited at this time. The crash remains under investigation.
