Houston – Hit-and-run Collision on Telephone Rd

Houston law enforcement officials are still looking for the driver who fled the scene following a major crash on Telephone Road near the Gulf Freeway.
According to initial reports, a vehicle had been traveling along the westbound lane of Telephone when it ignored a red signal and collided with another car that was carrying three children. The impact of the collision ejected one child in the process. He sustained various injuries including a broken arm. The second child also broke his arm while the third passenger sustained lacerations. The driver of the vehicle, who according to police was the father of three children, also sustained injuries that were considered to be minor.
Four occupants in the suspect vehicle fled the scene through another car which was described as a dark-colored Dodge Charger. Their identification was not immediately determined.
The Houston Police Department is encouraging those who have seen the incident or know the whereabouts of the suspects to get in touch with them.
An investigation is underway.
