A hit-and-run driver who fled the scene of the crash caused a second major car accident on Gulf Bank, Monday morning.
According to Houston police, the crash happened at around 3:00 in the morning. A Dodge pickup truck was traveling along the roadway near Airline when it crashed into a Buick, sped off, and collided with a Nissan Maxima. The pickup truck then escaped the scene but came to a complete stop after it slammed into a pole.
The Nissan driver and two passengers in the pickup truck sustained various injuries from the impact of the collision. They were all rushed to a local hospital for further care. No identifications have been released at this time.
Meanwhile, the hit-and-run driver was later arrested after it fled the scene by foot.
The crash remains under investigation.
We would like to express our deepest sympathies to the friends and families of the injured victims. We pray for their full recovery as we hope that the Houston Police Department will do everything to bring those responsible to justice.
Injuries caused by vehicle collisions can vary from crash to crash. Some injuries may heal within a span of days while others could paralyze a victim’s body for a month. The most commonly known car accident injuries include neck and chest and head and back injuries. Broken and ligament damages are also quite common.
Sometimes, a car accident can cause serious injuries to multiple parties—and filing a claim can get complicated. To make sure your claim is successful, you need to gather supporting evidence and documents that can back up your claim. It could be a detailed account of the accident you are involved in or documents indicating the extent of injuries you sustained. These may include a video or photograph of the scene, police reports, and medical records, to name a few.
