Houston – Fatal Crash on North Freeway

A car accident between three vehicles caused a traffic delay on North Freeway near the Shepherd flyover, Monday morning.
At around 5:15 a.m., the Houston Police Department responded to the southbound lanes of Interstate 45 after receiving a crash alert. According initial reports, a vehicle traveling along the highway crashed into a barrier and eventually lost control. The said car then crossed onto the opposing lanes where it struck two passing vehicles.
Based on a preliminary investigation, the first vehicle may have suffered a mechanical issue causing the driver to lose control of the car. Authorities ruled out alcohol as a factor in the collision.
No injuries were reported as of this writing.
Investigators temporarily shut down the freeway for clearing and investigation.
