Houston – DUI Driver Struck Scooter on Bellaire Blvd

A man was pronounced deceased after getting hit by a vehicle on Bellaire Boulevard, Thursday, February 6th.
Initial investigation shows that a mobility scooter was traveling near the 5800 block of Bellaire Boulevard near Renwick Drive when it was struck by a truck. The truck then continued on and veered off the roadway before coming to rest. Its driver was taken to the hospital where he was listed in an unknown condition. His identification was currently withheld.
Meanwhile, the operator of the scooter was pronounced deceased after being transported to the hospital.
Houston law enforcement officials are investigating the crash. They are looking into the possibility of intoxication.
An investigation is underway.
