Houston – Drunk Driving Crash on Clarewood Drive Kills 1

The passenger of a suspected drunk driver who died following a vehicle crash on Clarewood Drive has been identified by police officials, a local news source said.
According to authorities, the fatality was named as Martha Ramos, 26.
Last September 29, at around 3:00 p.m., Ramos was in a vehicle that was traveling along Clarewood Drive when it crashed into a Lexus and struck a pole. The impact of the crash left Ramos with significant injuries. She was pronounced deceased by local paramedics. Meanwhile, the driver of the said vehicle, identified as 19-year-old Gustavo-Perez, escaped the scene without rendering aid to the victim. He was later apprehended and arrested.
Police said a woman followed Gustavo-Perez and took a video of him running after he allegedly side-swiped her car and fled the scene.
The Houston Police Department is leading the investigation.
