Houston – Driver Arrested Following Pedestrian Crash on South Loop East Freeway

The suspect of the fatal pedestrian collision on South Loop East Freeway has been arrested and charged, according to a local news source.
Last October 9, Houston police officers responded to 7300 South Loop East service road to assist in an auto versus pedestrian accident. According to police, a pedestrian was walking across South Loop when he was struck by a black Chevrolet Tahoe that was heading west. The victim was immediately taken to Memorial Hermann Hospital where he was listed in critical condition. Unfortunately, he later succumbed to his injuries last October 17. His identification has not yet been released.
The driver of the Chevrolet did not stop to render aid to the victim. He was later arrested and identified as Vince Edward Turner (b/m, 39).
