Houston – Deadly Hit-and-Run Collision on North Shepherd

The Houston Police Department is investigating a fatal pedestrian collision which involved a hit-and-run driver on North Shepherd near West 10th Street.
According to initial reports, two people were in the street at the 800 block of North Shepherd when they were struck by an undescribed vehicle. The pedestrians, whose identities have not been released, died from the injuries sustained from the impact of the collision. Meanwhile, the driver of the suspect vehicle did not stop to render aid to the victims and escaped.
Local authorities said that the driver returned to the scene herself. However, it was not confirmed whether she was taken into custody. Her identification remains unknown at this time.
No charges have been made as the investigation is still in progress.
