A major vehicle accident on South Beltway 8 feeder road sent a boy to the hospital, Sunday night, according to a local news source.
Initial investigation shows that a Cadillac was racing with a Cadillac on South Beltway 8 feeder road near Beamer Road when the Cadillac left the roadway and struck an electrical tower.
The impact of the collision caused the tower to lean, trapping occupants in the Cadillac. Meanwhile, a child occupant was also injured and was hospitalized. He was only identified as a 9-year-old boy.
No other injuries were reported.
Houston police arrived at the scene to determine liability. An investigation is underway.
