Houston – Big-Rig Collision on North Loop East

The Houston Police Department is investigating a car accident on North Loop East Freeway at McCarty in Houston, Sunday morning.
In an unspecified time in the morning, local officers responded to the scene after receiving a call reporting a collision involving a pedestrian and a big rig. According to initial reports, a female pedestrian was attempting to cross the road when a passing semi-trailer struck her. The impact of the collision left the woman with serious injuries. She was pronounced dead at the scene by emergency crews.
The driver of the big rig is cooperating with the investigators. No words on whether or not he sustained injuries from the accident.
The Houston Police Department is investigating the crash.
